--West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that Derek Culver challenged the last shot of the game which made him throw the ball a little higher than he wanted to. They wanted to give Deuce McBride a head of steam and clear a side for him. If he got stopped Taz Sherman would have circled behind to get a shot. But if Deuce couldn’t turn the corner, they subbed in Jalen Bridges in the corner to get a shot if he got cut off along the baseline. The rest of the conversation was about getting back and not doing what they did against Texas.

--The Mountaineers were 10 for 10 down the stretch and made shots. They had opportunities, they missed free throws and turned the ball over and were their own worst enemy for a large chunk of this game but then the ball started going in for them. It was different people and he thought Gabe Osabuohien set a great screen for Sean McNeil.

--Huggins said they played the number one team in the country and number two team and you can’t do things they did today like miss free throws and expect to win. They have to be more consistent shooting the ball. Emmitt Matthews gave them great minutes, but he’s lost 18-pounds. JB is making shots for us.

--At the end of the game they wanted Deuce McBride to take over the game and he did that. They didn’t rebound the ball at the offensive end the way they need to and stop allowing straight line drives. They make dumb turnovers at times.

--Jalen Bridges they’ve got to get him to rebound the ball a little bit more, but his production the past two games is exactly what he envisioned.

--West Virginia could of, should have had another couple wins. They’ve been in position to win but haven’t.

--Huggins said a lot of his lineups have to do with matchups and how they practice. They have to stop turning it over.

Very kind to Gabe. I thought it was one of his least productive games. Twice in first half he tossed it away...8 point swing and in the second half he tosses the ball back under their basket...two points.

WVU 88 Tech 87 nuff said. I don't care how we got there only the final.

What Gabe does for WVU doesn't always show up in the stat sheet.
Guy isn't going to score 20 points ever
But the guy gives WVU the type of player you need to be a great team

Give him positive reinforcement. Smart move by Huggins
