--West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said he doesn’t know how the break in the schedule will hurt or help them until he goes through it. He said he could call some other people that could go through it but he doesn’t know how much it does help his cause.

--Huggins said he doesn’t know if everybody will be available Saturday and he can’t get into the testing aspect but hopefully they find out when the testing is over with.

--Huggins doesn’t know how to answer questions about specifics about the situation. The guys they had available their conditioning will be fine, but he has no idea about the other guys. In 43 years of being in this business he is in uncharted waters and he doesn’t know what he can or can’t say. He said 100-percent he doesn’t have a clue with how to answer questions about it.

--There are different protocols and they have gone through a bunch. It is what it is and they have to somehow fight their way through this right now. His guys have been good and they haven’t dealt with it, then all of the sudden it just jumped up and bit them. Everybody didn’t get it, it’s the other things that come along with it.

--Huggins said he hasn’t been able to work with “very many,” guys over the past couple weeks. They didn’t have six players which is why they couldn’t play.

--Derek Culver and Deuce McBride have been the two most consistent guys on the team.

--Huggins said he isn’t sure the players are more familiar with what they’re trying to do now. But with all the time off, he isn’t sure they’d have fresh legs.

--Kansas State has gotten the best young group in the league. The freshmen are talented and they have a couple of veteran guys and get better and better with each game they play as their youth gains experience. They did a great job recruiting.

--The guys that are available got a lot of shots up and some conditioning. The guys that are available are the guys that watch a lot film regardless.

--Derek Culver isn’t going to cry when he’s hurt. He couldn’t bend over and it’s a shame that he has to go through the physicality game in and game out. He came back and gave a great effort. He won’t complain and always says that he feels fine.

--There are so many things that you have to take into account with this the guys that are sick, the contact tracing, the schedule. They have to play three games in five days now. Every time you think you have it figured out you don’t.

--The contact tracing is the more concerning factor.

--Huggins could talk to people but it’s all different. Everybody is looking for a “here’s what it is,” and there isn’t that because this is uncharted waters. If you google certain ailments, you can get certain doctors saying different things on what you should do during your recovery. And this isn’t something that’s been happening for a long time. To make it even worse you throw in another strain.

--Huggins said the uncertainty of all of it is what scares him. They don’t even have a complete schedule and you don’t know who could get hit by it next.

--Huggins said he’s afraid they’d throw it away before the shot clock runs out if they tried to run the clock given the fact that he could be short of players.
