--Bob Huggins said they basically got commitments from the two guys that signed before it was finalized. Huggins believes they are the two best guards in Ohio and they believe that they’ll need somebody to step in and play down the line.

--Original idea was to put Seny Ndiaye in Beckley Prep but then he decided to bring him in and redshirt him because of the experience he would get playing against Derek Culver and Oscar Tshiebwe. He’s gotten better and better and because this year is a free year they could conceivably redshirt him again if the bigs are still around and he could be a sixth year player.

--West Virginia has had two or three different brackets for the tournament out in South Dakota, but are preparing for typical Buzz Williams team.

--Huggins is familiar with the state of Ohio and has a lot of connections there so it allows him to recruit the state. Both of the guards that signed are well coached at the high school level. He trusts the opinion of the coaches there because there’s a lot of years spent there.

--West Virginia is out of scholarships and the rule that Taz Sherman and Gabe Osabuohien can come back means that they can’t add anymore without somebody leaving. The situations with those seniors is still up in the air but right now, they’re full.

--They’ve had extensive conversations about how many players were able to play to be able to play the game given the virus concerns and that number seems to be seven.

--They’ve only scrimmaged once but the person that has dominated practice has been Derek Culver. His team wins and lot and he gets the majority of the rebounds. Huggins believes that this could end up being a really special group.

--The message has been more than ever to be very careful of what happens away from the basketball facilities. You don’t know what could happen. If you have contact tracing, you’ll be out 14-days which puts you two-weeks behind in practice. But his players are doing their best to make sure it doesn’t become an issue.

--Five of the first six or seven games will be on ESPN, which is a great source of revenue.

--Sean McNeil and Taz Sherman have played exceptionally well. They could also play Deuce McBride at the two and play Deuce and Jordan McCabe together. They feel really good about the two-guard.

--Jordan McCabe is shooting the ball much better and understands his role on the team. He hasn't been shooting a lot, but when he does it's going into the basket.
