Clemson sitting at 9th in RPI and the 9th largest cumulative home attendance for NCAAT teams. So, the hardest site you can go to in the 9-16 range.

Feeds into LSU, who spent the most time ranked as No1 in the country, they’re the Vegas favorite….its not a “fine” draw - it’s shit.

* and they don’t seed these like a snake fantasy football draft, they’re placing teams in regionals to minimize travel, create interest and avoid teams from the same conference (we aren’t 22 and DBU isn’t 27) - UK is sitting 38th in RPI, far from a gimmie on Friday.

The large attendance doesn’t make it the hardest site. That’s arguable.
Anyway, you’re playing the 11 overall seed - you gotta play somebody - and then likely the six-seed, meaning back half of the top 8.

So it’s back half of the top 16 and back half of the top 8. RPI wise, it’s Nos. 9 and 10. Yes, these pairings are made with geography in mind as well.

There aren’t any gimmies. Could have ended up at Auburn, Arkansas, Coastal, Ole Miss. Clemson isn’t steaming ahead at this point, but of course they’re good.

Frankly I’d be shocked to get out of the regional anyway based upon recent play.

I don’t disagree but what I was hoping for was to feed into a super where there was a reasonable likelihood of an upset on the other half of the bracket such that you could host a super and get to Omaha. Agree, wasted brain power thinking they’ll get out of the first wknd anyway.
