at NTSU. Obviously 2016 is going to be a train wreck for the mighty Herd! All we can do now is try to win every down and get better in the remaining games, I'd bench most the Seniors and thank them for their contributions and plug in youngsters to get a feel for where they stand , all focus should now be on 2017, IMHO!

It is funny how everyone saw this coming.

You can't play a weak ass schedule and expect your team to have any heart or experience.

You took your chance against 2 HEALTHY P5 teams, and got crushed. It would have happened any year you did it.

I always laughed when you guys called yourself "The New Flagship" because I knew the time would come when you couldn't even stand on your easy wins to make your bogus claim.

You got curb stomped by the 8th best team in Texas. Luckily, nobody saw it or cared because you aren't WVU.

If you feel that your team is anything but pointless, irrelevant, or losers by birth, you don't understand college athletics.

when do you think the fire sale for bahamas bowl tickets will take place?........I'm sure several were purchased already:cool2:

It's entirely possible that the Herd could lose to Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, and Western Kentucky. If that were to happen the Herdiots won't be needing any bowl tickets because their team would not be bowl eligible. Seven games left for them, and they have to win 5 of them to go bowling. Not likely based on what they've done so far this year.

It's not even sporting to give you a hard time now. It's no fun if there's no challenge.

It would be like walking up on a wounded fawn and claiming to be a trophy hunter.

We're past that White Tail...obviously nobody saw this coming and difficult to find answers, our Senior laden offensive line suddenly cannot block my Mom's bridge club. Our promising QB, while under pressure because our line can't block any human, cannot hit a barn! Our secondary, while absurdly young, cannot apparently run with a fat man up hill. Our kicker could not kick the ball between the goal posts if his life depended on it! We have real problems...

Everyone saw this coming. We tried to tell you for a couple seasons.

Why didn't I hear that in August...could have made a fortune!

You were too busy coming up with reasons to talk about Lamar Jackson.

A couple of us have been saying for years that the way your program was being run was going to cause this. You can't play shit a dozen times a year and not expect to become shit yourself.

Lamar was/is worth the ink....Heisman winner! You boys are delighted by our swoon but are as surprised as we are! Nobody over here expected us to lose to Akron or NTSU or publically said so, all we ever heard is "Herd plays nobody", which is code for you're going to win! Wish one of you would step up and gives us solid financial advise!

Tony, you are correct. I never thought Marshall would lose to Akron (and badly at that), nor NTexas. Not sure the problem. I could understand if the team was banged up from the back to back P5 games..... But that doesn't appear to be the case. Marshall played pretty well, I hear, in the second half of the Pitt game. What might be at play is, the staff has lost confidence and it's funneling down to the players. And, you probably have a scared QB on your hands(maybe rightfully so given the OLine woes)

I was wrong in assuming your schedule was pathetic enough to win.... my bad.

Hopefully North Texas knows of an even Norther North Texas you can play.

Can't hear what wasn't said...nobody unabashedly said take Akron + 18, All I heard was just the same old chorus!
Now that is classic Tony. Conversation is:
Tony: herd is terrible, no one saw that coming
WVU fans: What? We've been warning you about that for a while now.
Tony: I never heard that.
MM: You didn't want to hear that.
Tony: Can't hear what wasn't said... and although this thread deals with Akron only in regards to a herd loss, I'll throw them in and pretend like that's what we were talking about.

Of course, since you want to discuss Akron, it takes a mere few seconds to search the woodshed and find that you were told:

The only financial advice I could offer to the Herdiots is for you to impress upon your AD to get the hell away from CUSA as quickly as possible......the MAC pays better and some of your games would be on national TV......

I'll give Tony a little credit here... I think he was one of the few herd fans who did not think they should jump to CUSA when that ship sailed in. I said at the time it was a bad idea, and it turned out to be worse than I imagined. Although, the CUSA getting worse did finally lead to the herd being able to move up the ranks of the CUSA, so there is that.

If you visited any of the Herd boards you'd see where they dream of jumping to the AAC, which would be another huge mistake since the AAC doesn't allow their teams to take Props. I would imagine that the MAC wouldn't take them back for the third time so it looks like they are stuck in CUSA forever.......

It almost hurts to say it Tony...but...

OUCH!

Ole Snow Sled Baby was pretty clear, don't you think?

Granted, no one would have guessed the Herd's doom, versus North Texas.

It's a train wreck Couch, we are bad in virtually all areas of the game. What's puzzling is guys that have been steady in past seasons are suddenly hapless. Our QB is playing poorly but as you pointed out he's got people hanging off his neck and diving at his feet, can't step into any throw!

Never should have left the MAC and was pissed me off then/now is that that absurdly poor decision was essentially made behind closed doors by three guys who are long gone but left us with the damage!
