Jacksonville State defensive back Derek Carter has committed to WVU!. Visited Jan. 6. Carter was with the Gamecocks for four seasons although he redshirted one of those. The Alabama native appeared in 35 total games and recorded 99 tackles, 10 passes defended and an interception. He earned second-team all-Conference USA honors in 2023 and will have one season of eligibility remaining.
