Wait a second here

south course is the one I played the most. North was relatively new, and way too short. Played league for years at Shenandoah, right down the road from BG. Also played league at Carpers Valley, but not sure if that course is still open.
carpers valley isn't carpers valley anymore....it's now called Appleland I believe...good friend is the super there.....was Blue Ridge Shadows there while you were?...lots of former Redskins are members there.... never was impressed with Shenandoah CC...there's also one called Rock Harbor near Winchester...that's too hard for me

Those are both new courses, or new after I left in 99. Rock Harbor seems tough when I viewed it the course last year, and pretty expensive for regular golfers. When I lived there for 10 years, our out of town destinations were Locust Hill, which is a decent course in Charles Town, The Woods at Hedgesville, and Cacapon State Park, which is a lengthy course, but decent. We also played a course up in Greencastle PA, or somewhere close to there. It had a Par 6, that was around 750 yards or so. There also used to be a course up 522 between Winchester and the WV state line, in a housing development where a good friend of mine lived. Played that one frequently, but the name escapes me. It closed down right before I left there. Also played the Martinsburg course, but it wasn't the greatest. I think it was out near the Air National Guard location. Been 20 years and way too many beers between then and now to remember everything.

the good super at cacapon retired ...wasn't good last time I played.....thought I heard locust hill closed but I could be wrong...played The woods last year and it was good.....the super at rock harbor is a friend but I don't play there...very hard, even for seniors

I'm planning to go back to playing league golf this Spring. May likely regret it, but that's the plan for now. My friend's course is up for sale, so not sure if that's the league I'll play in or not. His parents have both now passed away, and his sister is being a bitch about wanting half the property, and he cannot afford to buy her out. I think they're selling the 9 hole course (and home) for like $900,000.00. Likely, if somebody does buy it, they'll turn it into something besides a golf course.

still haven't had a chance to play this year or hit my new driver..got cataract surgery next Thursday so that will push it back even more.....I lose sight of the ball after about 80 yards....was playing with the pro right before Christmas and hit it to 3 feet from about 165....pro wondered why I wasn't jumping up and down and I said "can't see it"....has affected my putting too

What the he!!? This reminds me of Cincinnati Western Hills High where I played American Legion ball (Pete Rose attended high school there). The right field fence was a chip shot from home plate, but you couldn't hit a home run to left field with a bazooka. The same idiot must have designed both the baseball field and your golf course.

I'll put my education and career accomplishments up against yours any time any place anywhere.....

She's back in CHinA...what a weird phucking place. She finished her work here as a visiting scientist and went back home. It hurt alot, but that's life...I've since moved on and now am casually dating a 47 y.o. MILF that has the ass of a 25 year old....I still do alright for a man of my age...but I digress...

Been to China 4 times, will never go back. HUGE population. HUGE overcrowded MEGA cities. HUGE POLLUTION PROBLEMS. Never saw smog until I was in southern China...Been to Harbin twice, where the ex is from, ( Northern, most conservative part of China, HUGE city but mostly off the path of the Westerners - COLD !! )

No way I could ever integrate into the culture. On the face of it all it looks nice, but the whole place is rotten to the phucking core. Everything is either counterfeit or rebranded. People lie. The way they do business is like a system of favors....Great place to get electronics and smartphones and all kinda shit for real cheap if you know the locals.

Some Chinese already can speak very basic English, and occasionally you'll run into very fluent English speakers....especially in the cities.

People sleep out in the open in public. No shit. At train stations, subways, airports, public spaces...everywhere. People sprawled out or sleeping face down on benches, stools, etc.

I could go on and on.....OK to visit but NOT the place for a boy from the South.

Not a braggart, but SlowHead hasn't done anywhere near the amount of travelling that I've done...and most people haven't. When I worked for the Feds it was a big part of my job, but that was 25 years ago.

And, I seriously doubt that SlowHead the Lawn Boy has my career / academic creds, etc. ...Many, many, MANY others have more cred than I...to be sure....but SlowHead ain't one of 'em.

I am happily retired here in FL nowadays and really enjoy living here...I have been here a very long time.

Oh....and WVU sucks ass.

Good Day-
:pimp:

Refer to chemist as, "daddy" from now on, Slow Head. He continues to dominate you on here, even after a 50-point beat down.
