It has been more than four years since he left the program to become the head coach at Troy, but former UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown was still a topic of discussion during the Wildcats’ national signing day press conference at Kroger Field on Wednesday.

“Neal going to West Virginia — I’ve been keeping my eye on that one, because I think he’s kind of like Jeff Brohm,” UK recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow said with a grin.

Brohm, since becoming the head coach of Purdue after the 2016 season, has spent the past couple of years raiding his home state of Kentucky for recruiting talent.

For West Virginia hopefully Neal Brown can put them squarely at #3 with at least one Top 20 Big XII recruit..

Here are the numbers for the Top 35 players

According to the 247 Composite Texas and Oklahoma signed the Top 20 players in the conference

Top 35 Big XII recruits by team
West Virginia 1
Iowa State 1
TCU 2
Baylor 2
Oklahoma State 3
Oklahoma 12
Texas 14

Maybe Neal Brown can pull out a Damien Harris, Wandale Robinson or Rondale Moore.

The last 3 years Kentucky put a big time player into college football.
Robinson could be as good as Moore.
