RIP to both of them. I’ve lived down here since May of 18’ and I can tell you typically “Lake Mexico” isn’t rough at all but coming off of double red flags end part of last week it was a murky, slosh. The size of the waves really only tell a small part of a story how rough it is out there and really big waves can be harmless that’s more of an illusion from the sand bars that develop. The undertoe is everything and you can tell pretty well once your knee deep how bad it is sucking you out. Anyone blue lotters happen to be down here in the fall go it Pineapple Willy’s! Their adjacent building turns into ultimate sports bar for cfb in the fall and I’m there pretty well every weekend. Portable speakers to listen to game, beer, wings, etc.. The Texas game was one helluva day there.
