Trump was shot at AGAIN TODAY...

WASHINGTON (AP) — FBI says former President Donald Trump was subject of 'an apparent assassination attempt' at his Florida golf club.

This is a breaking news alert.

man with an AK-style rifle pointed the firearm’s muzzle into Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the former president was playing a round, prompting the U.S. Secret Service to open fire, according to three law enforcement officials. The former president is safe and unharmed, and the FBI says it is investigating "what appears to be an attempted assassination" of the Republican presidential candidate.

The person dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV, and was later taken into custody in a neighboring county, the officials said. The officials were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Authorities are treating the case as a potential assassination attempt, and arrested a suspect, a U.S. official told Fox News. The man, who was not immediately identified, was allegedly armed with a rifle when agents fired at him.

"This does not appear to be some random guy with an AK-47 walking outside Trump's club," the official added.

Authorities said the suspect, who had a GoPro camera and two backpacks, shoved the muzzle of his rifle through a fence and may have been aiming at the president when agents fired at him.
