Navarre (Fla.) running back Michael Carter told me that his visit to West Virginia was outstanding because it was much more personal than some of his previous trips to places like Tennessee and Mississippi State. Carter spent a lot of one-on-one time with running backs coach JaJuan Seider and the assistant told him that the Mountaineers only want to take one running back in this class and he wants him to be the guy. Carter is an explosive running back who played only 2/12 games last season but accounted for over 600 yards and 9 touchdowns in that time. A do-it-all type of running back, Carter likes the fact that West Virginia uses their running backs in a variety of ways and could gets him the football. His list right now is West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Virginia and he isn't looking to rush a decision but said he won't wait to the last minute either. The Mountaineers did a great job making him feel like a priority and will be in the mix moving forward.
