According to a report from WV Sports Now, three finalists have emerged during the search, all of whom we shared a bit about a few days ago in a piece on some of the candidates involved in the process.

The piece from WV Sports Now notes that the three candidates are current defensive coordinator and former Charlotte head coach Brad Lambert, Alabama associate head coach / running backs coach Charles Huff, and Louisville offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford.

Mrshall should quit wasting their time. Go ahead and name Lambert because that was your plan all along.

That's what I think the plan was too, but hopefully we're both wrong. The other two apparent finalist are all making more than what Doc was making, so they'll have to offer a salary close to $1,000,000. Maybe Governor will chip in.

Would be kind of stupid to fire Doc, and then turn around and hire a coach with a 22-48 career record. WV Tech wouldn't even do that.

Tech did that time after time and now they dont have a football program.

Complete lunacy to fire Doc and hire a coaching failure in Lambert (unless Lambert is going to be making a significantly lower salary than Doc)

They're not going to pay a coach 1 million dollars a year. Especially after losing money due to Pandemic season.

Marshall should have had someone ready if they knew they were going to fire Doc at the end of the season.

Taking Huff from Bama could cause a chain reaction.

Good job Marshall

A journeyman coach who has never been a head coach. Is stepping into a nice spot as the team is already set with CUSA TALENT.

Be gone after 2 years. Possibly 3.
