Top 75 recruiting classes: Michigan makes late surge toward top
With national signing day closing out the 2025 classes, we rank all the top teams.
50. West Virginia Mountaineers
ESPN 300 commits: 1Top offensive prospect: RB Deandre Desinor
Top defensive prospect: CB Dawayne Galloway
Ranking entering Wednesday: NR
Despite the firing of head coach Neal Brown, the Mountaineers' class possesses some building blocks for the new staff. Corner Dawayne Galloway was a huge pickup on signing day given his length and speed (10.5 in 100 meters). RB Deandre Desinor has bounced around a bit in high school, but has displayed good tools and physical promise and still rushed for more than 2,500 yards over the last three seasons. He is a powerful enough runner to be effective between the tackles with good speed to finish when he gets in space. Three-star QB Scotty Fox has a strong arm and lightning-quick release.
After landing ESPN 300 OL Kyle Altuner out of Good Counsel in 2024, the Mountaineers returned to that school to land another promising IOL in Gavin Crawford. He has quick feet and good power and was an MVP performer at the Under Armour Next New Jersey camp. Amir Leonard-Jean Charles is an interesting prospect to watch. He is a big body (6-4, 300) who can be effective as an interior DL but arguably has better upside as an OL.
