A family member spoke with one of our coaches prior to our last home game (I am not going to reveal any names) and this coach told my family member, "We did not understand the transfer portal." Not sure how this can occur but this is an exact quote, FWIW. Frankly, I am not sure what this coach meant in not understanding the portal. Was it not understanding how to recruit out of the portal? Was it not understanding just how important the portal would become? It was an unsolicited comment by this coach, btw.
