The problem is that Islam is a political ideology wrapped up as a religion. It is not purely religious. As a result it should not be considered for religious freedom because accepting them this way goes against our constitution because they believe in Sharia law which violates our constitution. They want to manipulate our country by using religious freedom against us. We are getting screwed if we accept them this way.

In general I'm a supporter of the Second Amendment, but idiotic false equivalencies like these that the overzealous gun freaks throw out there are really undermining your position and a large part of what is turning moderate supporters like me away from it.

You failed to quote my entire post. I was making a point with such a obsurd statement.

To even mention having restriction placed on any religious freedoms is as ridiculous as a total ban on firearms.

Restricting or removing certain constitutional rights is a slippery slope. One that leads to a police state. IMO
