Thank you! Finally someone else acknowledges this often forgotten point. They didn’t recognize and support states rights in the civil war, so it’s no surprise they still don’t like it. THIS is the exact reason for the start of the civil war in 1861….states rights. They hate it. They want total federal government control. This battle has continued since the civil war. That’s why they continue to say democracy, because that is what they want. A true democracy would clearly allow the coastal large metropolitan cities and states to control all issues and elections by a majority vote. Thus eliminating the voices of rural America.
