there is going to be much, much more emphasis on getting after the quarterback rather than trying to contain through zone and then blitzing with a linebacker.

You look at the personnel we are targeting and it is predicated on getting after the quarterback from every angle on the field. Alley has always been great at dialing up pressure. I suspect that is what they envisioned out of the kid who went to State yesterday.

Again another sign that Rich has progressed as a Coach. You could play it safe in the Big East. In the Big 12 you have to stop the run but equally as important, dial up pressure on the qb to create a sack or turnover to get the ball back.

Random obligatory thought to break up the monotony of all these damn commitments. Jesus..
