The daughters tweets

Can we all admit that she only has a job at WVU because her father is the head coach of the basketball team... ?

Sorry Doom, but I think that's a little short sighted to say the University isn't embarrassed considering they're the coach's daughters. It is unacceptable and Huggins should have written the riot act to them long ago for being in the position that he is. They should know better. They're not kids. This doesn't help his reputation either, for what it's worth.

Don't be ridiculous. It's the head coach's daughters. Right or wrong, it does reflect back on us, especially when one of them is an employee of the school for crying out loud. Also, If I were a guy who was accused of raping someone and the prosecutor himself said there wasn't enough evidence to bring charges and I sued the school and settled out of court, which means I WON. Then I'd be looking for some payback if someone called me a rapist in public. It's one thing to yell it out loud but when you put it in print on a public system, you're in for it. They could be held liable for their ignorant statements. Don't act like it's nothing when it obviously is.

It doesn't reflect on anyone but the person who tweeted the comments on their personal account. And just because someone isn't prosecuted doesn't mean that there wasn't a crime committed. It is not like this player is the first and only college basketball player to be accused of a crime and taunted by opposing fans through social media - that is a very long list. Payback? Libel suit? Talk about being ridiculous. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens, but my money is on "nothing". Much ado about nothing.

I don't know what it is about you and denial but that's your problem. The part about reflecting on us is not just an opinion when this many people are up in arms over it and it's generating discussion on numerous boards and social media websites. But if you want to continue hiding behind a twig and pretending people can't see you then, have at it. As for potential lawsuit being ridiculous, didn't you even bother to read Moe's post in answer to you? Pretty telling stuff by a prosecutor. And don't tell me you wouldn't think anything of someone calling you a rapist if you weren't, especially after being vindicated like he was. AND winning an out of court settlement. The coaches daughter(s) say several ignorant things and one happens to be an employee of the school, on top of Hugg's reputation to begin with and you pretend to not understand what everyone is upset about? You're unreal. I hope to God you don't or ever obtain a position of influence at WVU.

It is a well established fact that prosecutors rarely bring charges in college rape cases. To say that a person is vindicated by not being prosecuted is another ridiculous statement. Talk about someone hiding from reality. The girl he was with accused him of rape and she certainly knows better than anyone. Also, Xavier own internal investigation found more than enough evidence for expulsion. As a matter of fact, the school refused to allow this kid back in school even after the prosecutor decided not to charge him seeing him as a danger to other students. You and your buddy Moe need to do a little more research. The out of court settlement was to make the matter and him go away.

Athletes and coaches who get into trouble are always going to be taunted by fans - another reality. As far as what a lowly program assistant tweets on her own personal account, most people could care less. These ladies are adults and are responsible for their own actions. This might be good message board material for drama queens, but WVU has better odds at winning the Tournament than Wells filing a libel suit for being taunted on Twitter during a basketball game as you suggested. He likely gets a "warm" reception everywhere he plays.
