The Bob Huggins podcast is out

If this season goes off the rails they will reinstate him if he continues to appear sober IMO. Him being on the airwaves basically lobbying for his job back is going to be a constant theme and hot topic among our fans especially if we are losing.
No they won't.

An addict can make just as many excuses to avoid getting help as they can to avoid staying in treatment or justifying a relapse. It doesn’t take an addict to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol to be reckless in their perception and behavior.

Excuses do not just come from the addict either. They come from family just as much.

Bob Huggins ego is the distorted belief that he's is not replaceable. Bob's ego allows him to think that if he's not there, the place could not possibly carry on without them.

Few points:

1. Says he had visited a back doctor, took some medication, then was driving back home and stopped to see some friends in Pittsburgh. Had a few drinks. Was driving home and was in an unfamiliar part of town and was confused.

2. Says that he knew where he was and was "joking" with the officer in reference to the Columbus, Ohio statement. Says the school jumped on that lie to justify their stance.

3. Says he's been sober over 140 days.
#1 negates #3. Took medication and "had a few drinks". That equals "not sober". I love Coach Huggins, but he wasn't sober that night. I love that he was back at the George mason bball game. Shows he still loves WVU!

He accepted responsibility. His argument was that he never had a sit-down, face-to-face meeting with Baker or Gee, and that the university contacted his wife and negotiated with her on a resignation, not him. He said he refused to resign. He said multiple times that he was willing to take punishment, go to rehab, anything needed to keep coaching.
He had been asked multiple times to go to rehab.
He refused.
He already had a sit-down with administrators.
BH has had lots of chances.
BH chose poorly and has for quite some time.
