I saw East Tennessee State play in person yesterday. Two thoughts. 1) As a Mountaineer fan, I’d rather our team not see them in the first round. 2) They’re a great Sweet Sixteen pick in your brackets. They have very good guards, more size than you’d expect out of the SoCon, and an experienced team. Will be 30-4 upon winning the SoCon championship game tonight - 7:00 PM on ESPN. Check them out.
P.S. Roger Ayers was lead official for the ETSU-WCU game. He was predictably solid. Doug Sirmons was lead official for the second semifinal (Wofford vs. UTC). He was predictably atrocious, as was Trey Doomes who played several minutes for UTC.
