Former top Clinton adviser calls on ABC to launch internal probe into whether debate was rigged
Veteran Democratic pollster Mark Penn said "I think a review of all their internal texts and emails really should be done [...] to find out to what extent they were planning on, in effect, you know, fact-checking just one candidate and in effect, rigging the outcome of this debate."
Mark Penn, a former top adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton, called Thursday for ABC to launch a formal internal investigation into its news division's planning and execution of this week's presidential debate to determine if there was some effort at "rigging the outcome of this debate."
ABC News came under significant bipartisan criticism because its moderators fact-checked some of Donald Trump's statements but not a single pushback at any made by Kamala Harris.
Trump said Thursday that the debate was three-on-one and declined to participate in another one before the election.
Anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis moderated the first debate between Harris and Trump, which drew 67.1 million viewers, making it the most watched presidential debate since 2008. But it has drawn scorn from both Republicans and Democrats for giving the appearance of bias.
"I actually think they should do a full internal investigation, hire an outside law firm. I don't know how much of this was planned in advance," Penn told the "John Solomon Reports" podcast.
"I don't know what they told the Harris campaign. I think the day after, suspicion here is really quite high, and I think a review of all their internal texts and emails really should be done by an independent party to find out to what extent they were planning on, in effect, you know, fact-checking just one candidate and in effect, rigging the outcome of this debate. I think the situation demands nothing less than that," he added.
Penn described the mainstream media's coverage of Harris' campaign as laughable.
Penn, president and managing partner of The Stagwell Group, suggested the Trump campaign mail out to every voter the ACLU questionnaire that then-Sen. Harris, D-Calif., filled out and indicated she supports gender surgery for illegal immigrants and defunding Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
I don't want to see anymore "debating"...it's a waste of time. You either know who you're voting for and why at this point, or you're voting for the cacklin' Communist because you don't have a clue.
I didn't watch it, and honestly I'm not surprised considering it was ABC. Trump should be aware by now that the Left will stop at nothing, and try anything at this point to keep him from winning back the WH. (including rigging a debate) 😏

I did NOT watch a second of it live...I knew what was coming. I did watch a lot of the follow up and clips.
The reason I posted earlier that Harris won was because even some fair Fox News people felt she was the winner.
Many of those commentators as well as others on other networks...said the ABC hosts were laughable and were biased...especially with their TOTAL LACK of FACT CHECKING HARRIS.
Again I'm not surprised. Like you I just heard clips the following day, and nothing I heard would have changed my mind anyway.
Hey @bornaneer apparently during this debate abortion came up and the cacklin' Communist was asked if she favored any restrictions on it? From what I've heard she never answered, and Trump apparently brought up the issue of late term abortions and how she's not even opposed to those! She apparently said they don't happen, but she never answered the question if she opposes them or not correct?

People will just have to go watch the press conference Garland did today. It will make more sense over the next several months why he did it. He's not above criticism. So people should continue to do so because regardless of what he said he's a partisan hack. If he wants to change his legacy I suggest he get fvcking do so ASAP. I won't hold my breath.

NYC council passes slavery reparations legislation to 'yield material solutions' from US history
New York City will soon be passing two significant pieces of legislation as part of a larger wave of bills to address America's history of slavery and discrimination.
However, not all New York City councilmembers are happy about the bills.
"I’ll move before I’ll pay," Minority Leader Joseph Borelli told the New York Post. Borelli was one of the 8 councilmembers to vote against the legislation.
"If they can introduce me to one New Yorker who owned a slave I’d be happy to consider it," he added. "But until then, I am not paying a dime as a reparation for a harm I did not cause, nor condone, nor once participated in."
