There’s been some debate on here about practice performance vs guys who shine under the lights. Some have posted that, “Our coaches know what they’ve got.”
Last night John Calipari had this to say on the subject after UK beat Michigan St., “"What I saw today is what I saw in high school," Calipari added. "I [had] not seen it to this point. I'm in practice, where's the sniper that I recruited? ... But the two days prior to this, all I talked about was you be that sniper -- play. We need you to get baskets for us." Kid scores 26 to lead his team to a big W, but basically hadn’t shown that in a single practice yet.
