While we all understand there are tampering rules that are rarely if ever enforced with regard to coaches, ADs, and staff recruiting another team’s players, I’m curious to know if there are similar tampering rules with athletic programs and ADs contacting a coach with job offers during a season? Does anyone know if we can pursue litigation against IU here?
Yes, I understand that professionally if say NVIDIA wanted to recruit me away from Accenture, that would be standard business. However, I’m pretty sure the NFL does indeed have rules against tampering in regards to contacting another team’s coach during the season. Just curious to know if there’s anything similar with the NCAA? I’m still salty as hell about this and would enjoy nothing more than punishing both DeVries and IU.
