91 years old.....had a pretty good team beginning the 1971/72 season before a car accident took the life of Larry Harris and ended Sam Oglesby career. They were 5-0 with a win over highly rated NC State. Moran had high hopes for the season before Levi Phillips and Harris were declared academically ineligible for second semester and then the accident. Bob Hornstein moved into the starting lineup only to develop a collapse lung and Gary Reichenbecher broke his leg. So, 5 of his top 7 players were out of the lineup. I remember going to one of the December home games, my first in the two year old coliseum. Everyone had high hopes for the Mountaineers that early part of the season in December.
