Smashing the Myth of Corporate Morality

The last bit in that was 100% true. Take the HR people out of the room, and that’s exactly how everyone thinks, acts, believes and behaves. Put HR in the room and it’s virtue signaling. Take them back out, and it’s laughing at their naïveté.

That said, the reality is, no one really cares about race or sexual orientation in those rooms either. If you can help maximize profits while also growing the top line, you can pretty much be whatever you want to be. And that’s the way it should be.
