that the mighty Herd did not get an invite to any post-season tournament. Does the world not know or understand the value of having the Herd in a tourney and on TV with their billions of fans? I mean, why would the NIT not want Dan D'Antoni in its tourney? He's won over 500 high school games and his brother is famous. Disrespected.

I wouldn't sweat MU's fate....I'd worry about ND in the 2nd round! Hopefully Bucknell is no SFA so you Cousins will advance twice as far as you did last year!

Maybe we can invent a time machine and go back 30 years and discuss MU's chances in the tourney?

It's been done.

Doc Brown:
"Great Scott Marty !! Let's hope the NCAA doesn't visit campus."
Marty McFly:
"Why Doc, Marshall is going back to the Big Dance again?"
Doc Brown:
"I just saw Coach Huckaby handing out cash to the players again."
Marty McFly:
"Great scott Doc, let's get back to 2017 where those cheaters will not be invited into the Big Dance."
One time trip later
Marty says:
"Doc, so where are you going to now?"
Doc Brown:
"I think I'm going back and study one of the great mysteries of life."
Marty:
"What would that be Doc, Women?"
Doc Brown:
"No ..... Mops for props ...."

Marshall's the expert in 1st round dismissals. 0-5
Way to much interest in the Herd by the Cousins....ripe for another 1st round dismissal? I hope not but don't know much about Bucknell. Still all this concentration on the Herd seems misplaced...but Humptod has told us for years you boys are obsessed with MU!

Why wouldn't we be obsessed ? After all you guys have spent years telling us that Marshall is the flagship of WV.

I'd concentrate on Bucknell and ND....but if you really want to play MU call 1-800- THE-HERD, call collect if money is the issue.

Tony, I'll come back on Sunday and get your take on WVU's game(s). Since you seem to be in the know about WVU's tourney history and who they played last year and this year. Obsessed.

Sure, hopefully we can discuss ND as I think they'll get past a pesky Princeton outfit.

Sorry Tony, we had too many weak teams on our OOC BB schedule this year. As for football, our next schedule already has a Marshall-esque team in Deleware State. If scheduling in state schools is so important to you, then you should call that number and suggest to not only play WV Wesleyan in BB like you did this year, but add them to the football schedule too on a home and home basis. It would be good for the state and it would be a sold out game when you visit Buckhannon.

...I have no doubt. The Cousins are the unmatched in the their propensity to sit in Morgantown and play nobody until January! Start Big 12 play with a record of 12-0, why put that at risk by coming to Huntington.

Weak response but I'll try to get the team focused on bucknell instead of marshall.

Talk about playing a bunch of nobodies will ya ? Do any of the following teams ring a bell ? - Jackson State, North Carolina Central, West Virginia Wesleyan, Eastern Kentucky........I could go on. The fact is that Marshall played only two teams all year that made either the NCAA tourney or the NIT, and those were Middle Tennessee and Cincinnatti.

In the meantime WVU played NCAA tournament teams 1 seed Kansas twice, 3 seed Baylor twice, 5 seeds Virginia once and Iowa State 3 times, 10 seed Oklahoma State twice, 11 seed Kansas State three times, 15 seed Northern Kentucky, 16 seed Mt. Saint Mary's. Along with NIT teams 2 seed Illinois and 4 seed TCU.

Still want to compare schedules ?

@ Pitt, @ OSU @UC in December! Huggy's weak heart won't take that kind of stress. Please for the sake of compassion don't call the Herd and continue the killer holiday scheduling!

Pitt? Pitt? [laughing][roll][laughing]

They had a losing record.

Didn't they lose to Louisville 106-51?

@ , @ , @................. . That's because mid-majors can't dictate scheduling terms to the big boys. I suppose that the Herdiot school of thought is that Cinci, OSU, and Pitt are all afraid to play in Huntington.

Two of the 3 made no tournament. And all 3 were losses for the herd. And that's the killer holiday scheduling?
