It's amazing how many other schools have sold the naming rights for the basketball and/or football arenas / stadiums. Even schools like Ohio State (who shouldn't need the extra dough) sold the naming rights for their basketball arena. And, I just read a few days ago that Cincinnati sold naming rights as well (although apparently not renaming the arena or field, but allowing for max signage all over the place).
WVU could clearly use the money and I am perplexed as to why they haven't pulled that trigger yet. Even Puskar should have a shelf like of about 20 years. Then, we could put up a statue of him at the field in honor of his past contributions, but re-open the opportunity for another company to buy new naming rights. Hell, even the Steelers didn't let Heinz keep the name forever. Would like to think United Bank, EQT, or some others would be interested in getting their name on the Coliseum floor or at Mountaineer Field. Seems like a good way to raise some much needed capital.
