One can appreciate the Agents that covered him to protect him but this was a huge Security Failure. No way around that.
I saw an interview on Newsmax (done by the BBC) who interviewed an eyewitness who claimed he actually saw the shooter climbing up to the roof with a rifle! Says he pointed the guy out to police and SS agents and no one did anything! If that's true, that's unforgivable!
This guy (eyewitness) appeared legit...I'm sure he's going to be questioned by FBI, and maybe even the Secret Service?

The perimeter was breached and the line of sight was not covered. Someone's got to answer for that. Trump's detail had also requested more Agents lately. They hadn't got them. Someone's got to answer for that.

Grandfather took me to sign up for selective service and registration to vote . I make sure I make it home for elections so I can walk in and vote . I use to vote Democrat with the same conviction I vote against them now . Amazing what light maturity and wisdom can shine.
Never been a Democrat voter, but was raised by a "Kennnedy Democrat" Mom and Eisenhower Dad. My Grandfather who had lots of influence on me came from the Jim Crow South and was skeptical of both parties but was a Lincoln Republican in his Soul.
By the time I got to College I considered myself more Libertarian than anÿthing else skeptical of both parties (mostly because of my Dad and Grandfather) but I was sympathetic to the Democrat message of minority rights. Sad to say my late Mom would not even recognize today's Democrat party, and by the time I Graduated College in '79 I didn't recognize them either.
Cast my first ever vote for Reagan in 1980 because Carter was so bad and I've never voted for any Democrat since. Raised my kids as Christian Conservatives and they all vote GOP for that reason alone. I have my issues with some "pretend" Conservatives but the GOP is where I find most of my values and positions.
Today's Dems are flat out Evil IMO, wouldn't vote for one of 'em even at the point of a gun.
