In the NCState game Sam James showed some promise. I believe he will become a "playmaker" as he gains experience. That's just one positive that stands out from that game. Also the NBs call to down the extra point in the late fourth quarter, I'm still wondering exactly what Coach Brown was considering to convince him to make that call.

With WVU up 17 points, that made it a 3 possession game. If they would of screwed up and NCState took a fumble or blocked kick back for two points, then it would of become a 2 possession game.

Ask Nick Saban about kicking a field goal at Auburn. Point is, anything can happen, so why make it easier for them.

The point of why he kneeled on the extra point made sense immediately it you look at it, it's just a matter of do you agree with it or are you with the announcer in that he was overthinking things just a little bit. Either way, he was thinking about the win, and got it

Good point and makes perfect sense secure the win and minimize potential mishaps.

The chances of kicking (and making) the extra point were a lot greater than NC State blocking the kick. Also, the snap to the holder could have went over his head allowing NC State to scoop and score. Therefore, the risk wasn't really mitigated by not kicking the field goal. In a situation like that, common sense should prevail..... kick the field goal. It's what 100% of other coaches would have done.

Not kicking had no impact on the outcome of the game, so complaining about it now is like panicking over a meteor traveling close to earth but missing it.

Enjoy the win, and don’t worry about that kind of stuff.

There is a difference between complaining and stating facts.

Sam James had a monster game and is coming of age for as young as he is. Looking forward to seeing him be a go-to guy for us.

Not trying to be argumentative, but the risk of snapping over the holder’s head was mitigated by the fact the holder was standing upright on two feet instead of in a kneeling position.

What was preventing the holder from bobbling and dropping it, or the snap from going off to the side or between the holders legs? As long as there is any kind of snap, there is risk.

You hike the ball . . . you catch the ball . . . you take a knee with the ball.
