True, but most fans like to see the blocking and tackling instead of just reading about it.
Speaking for myself only I'm forced to agree with you but I have to believe MU-Pitt will ve available at my local BW3 or Beef O'Brady's...along with a refreshing tankard of Ale!

Reality is setting in for the herdiots - herdgadfly says - " So I still have not seen a listing that shows the cable broadcaster that will be carrying Marshall at Pitt. Does anyone know?"

That is from their own board.
Not only will the Herd-Pitt backyard brawl be televised, but you and the rest of the cousins will be watching. When the Herd is on, you boys tune in. That's an indisputable FACT!

That's a fact...interested to see who the Cousins root for....they'll probably just pull for injuries! Hahahahaha

No doubt a tough decision for the cousins. Root for Pitt, who they've hated for decades, or root for The Herd, who has stolen all of their glory by taking over the state.

Not tough at all. All WVU fans root for Pitt to lose no matter who they play. Despite how delusional the MVU fans are and how beating the sisters of the poor feeds your delusion, I would rather so you win than lose. I would rather see no one get injured. 0-12

Hmmm.......should I root for our former and future rival Pitt or should I pull for the team WVU has always slapped around at will ? I guess I will go with our little brothers on this one, just because I don't like Pitt.

They do have a respectable assortment of ales these days

I like beer to taste like beer...the craft beers all have different fruity tastes but it'd be a dull world if we were all the same!
Well only beers brewed with ale yeast. You could try some of the craft Pilsners or Vienna Lagers to avoid fruity flavors.

Whitetail, what kind of beer do you make. I took third at Burning Can (Oscar Blues farm) with a dark CZ lager. Headed out elk hunting next month and will likely take a Flanders Red for camp beer.

I haven't gotten into lagering yet, so everything has been ales.

Within that spectrum, I've made everything from wheats to stouts, but I'm far from an expert. I've made about 45-50 5 gallon batches. I bought a jockey box to take to tailgates and I have a strawberry blond and probably a pale ale that I'll take. But I also have a lime brown ale and a cherry wood smoked IPA in my kegerator, so I may take one of those.

BTW, I'm probably going to be getting a GrainFather pretty soon. :)

I hope Marshall rolls into Heinz and beats the panthers by 40. It would be fun to watch. That being said, I hope the herd players aren't too starstruck by playing in an actual football venue. Granted there will only be 5k on hand, but it's not a high school stadium like your players are used to seeing.

I use keggels. I can mash up to 43# of grains and typically do parti-gyle brewing. I have been brewing more sours lately than anything. Wicked Weed gave us a couple of barrels that we filled. One amber, one light. I have 10 gallons in the light barrel. I already have a bud keg converted to a salara with a Flanders base. It is wickedly sour. I just brew fresh beer, harvest and blend. Sounds like yours is the tailgate to go to. Have fun this weekend. The local homebrew shop has a GrainFather and has received good reviews.

I tried making beer once, it looked beautiful but tasted like shit! Decided then and there to leave it to the brew masters at SABMiller...but I'd try your yours!

Honestly didn't know that...I'll give 'em a shot! The things one learns on the 'shed!

I tried my hand at ales, never was satisfied with the result. I've got one room in the basement that is not heated so I may try to brew a lager this winter.

I thought about keggels and was looking at all kinds of different systems when I came across the grainfather.

Right now I have the watercooler with bazooka filter as a mashtun. I have a blichman burner and 10 gallon stainless steel pot for the wort. The blichmann burner is kick-ass, I don't remember how many BTU's it puts out, but it heats it up in a hurry.

I'd have to go back to Untappd to remember exactly, but I had a sour at The Brewstel in Elkins that was awesome. I don't recall which brewery it came from though, I want to say it was the Greenbrier. It was a sour and black IPA blend if I recall correctly. There was another sour that I had there that I liked also, but my wife doesn't like them.

I don't know where you live, but if you're ever around Elkins, check out the Brewstel. Those guys are great and they have 21 taps of craft brews, mostly from breweries in WV, but they have them from all over too. Real laid back, it's all about tasting and enjoying the beer.

I'd happily share with you any day.
I made one bad batch, and another batch that turned out exactly as it was supposed to but I just didn't like it. A friend of a friend loved it though so I gave all that I had to him. :)

I have my motorhome, and then we tailgate with people with 3 other campers also. In addition to the beers, we're bringing steak and baked potatoes for everybody too. Between the 4 groups, we always have great food and enough to feed an army.

I don't go through Elkins often but I have a farm in Grant county. I am a little spoiled with beer scene living in Asheville. We have 28 breweries in the county right now and Sierra Nevada is within spitting distance of county line. New Belgium opened last month. My wife likes the lagers and wheat beers the best and she will not drink the sours.

Oh, well yeah, if I lived in Asheville, I doubt I'd ever leave. Between the microbrews and mountainbiking I'd have all I need. :)

My wife mostly likes IPA's and wheats. I'm more of an IPA person myself, but not if it's just hop water. Although the Cascade and Citra hops are getting so ubiquitous as to be a bit tiresome at this point. :)

Having said that, my next brew will be a citrus IPA with orange and grapefuit rinds and Citra, Summit and fuggles. I do like the citrusy flavor, but if I'm buying something new I'd like it to taste like something new. I am a big fan of both Sierra Nevada and New Belgium. Have you seen the Seirra Nevada operation? They use open fermenters which seems kinda wild to me since sanitation is so key. Of course they do it in an enclosed and controlled room.

I think heels knows this, but I'm surrounded by dozens of really good breweries, but I'll say that the brewery in Lewisburg makes some very good beers. Greenbrier Valley is the name of it, and their Devil Anse IPA is very good. I used to be an IPA guy back about a dozen years or so ago, but got hooked on the porters and stouts, but the GV IPA got me back to drinking IPAs on occasion once again. If I'm home or have a driver, I stick with the double IPAs. With that said, nothing is going to beat a nice flavored Porter or Stout.

I was really surprised at how good the beers were up there. Of course Jolly Pumpkin and Founders I already know about but the depth of solid breweries was impressive.

Sierra is the Willy Wonka of the brewery world. They spent $5,000,000 on brass alone.

Did you know there is no Santa Claus and no Easter Bunny and no Tooth Fairy?
Just trying to get a feeling for how realistic your dreams are. :)
John Lennon told us "money can't buy me love"....he should have walked the strip in Vegas!
