I fully believe him when he says that he has two sources saying the same thing. I really do.
But the case with the Dude is that however many sources he actually has there is usually more to the story. It's that simple. He often has a "part" of the story, but rarely has the whole story.

I'm sure Gee is in fact not happy and he may well push to replace DH.....but the RR and Tressel stuff is just low hanging fruit. Anyone with any knowledge of recent WVU or OSU (under Gee) history could come up with this scenario. It will be a sad day when we hire a retirement age coach that would be initially suspended and place WVU on immediate probation. Not going to happen.
Is this his first clue about a new coach ....

This is the perfect example of the Dude having part of and not the whole story. I think it has been pretty well established after the fact that WVU was in some kind of contention for the SEC. The Dude jumped the gun and then shot himself in the foot.
If he says he has sources he has sources. Who exactly and how thorough are up for debate.
If he was a complete and total fraud then Mike Casazza would have never gone on the Dude's internet radio station/show. Get it? Casazza, a respected and reputable reporter did internet radio (still does?) with the Dude not all that long ago.

I will comment and say that movie while extremely dumb has unbelievably funny moments by Robert Downey Jr. honestly some of which I'm ashamed to say I laughed at.

Gee is tight and popular with some Big Boosters. You don't think he would never say something like, "Unless Dana pulls out X number of wins we're facing the loss of some significant support."
It's laughable that you would think Gee, a very active and popular president, would never have that kind of conversation. And Tressel will always be linked to Gee. Just what it is.
Then Lyons is AD in title only. This is his task to perform, and be evaluated on the outcome.

Fact is: Casazza did internet radio with him. He has/had sources. But I would never accept what he and his sources report as the whole story. Never have; never will.
There's no gray area with you guys. He's a guy on the internet. Sometimes he provides interesting and useful information. Just don't hang your hat on his hook.
So if the president of a university goes to his AD and says, "Unless this thing gets turned around we'll have to take action because we're gonna have a big problem if we don't" the AD is an AD in title only.

You are asking me to go back and compare what I wrote with what was written by a person that I insist never quite has the full story and spot the difference? You think about that.
I don't care what he writes or how convincing he is. Even if he is in the ballpark he doesn't have the full story. But when he does talk about something it's usually because there is something there. It's just never the full story.
Do you see what you are doing? You are taking what he writes at face value even as you call him a fraud.
Let me spell it out for you .... if the Dude says he has two sources that "say" Gee has said "this, this, and this" to Lyons about Hologorsen it means that there are two people, who have some connection to the athletic department, who have told the dude that Gee has expressed a level of concern to Lyons and somehow the number 8 factors in. That leaves a lot of room for possible variations of a conversation. But the Dude gets it and reports it as Gee said "this, this, and this." He reports bits and pieces of open ended situations and makes it sound the final word.
You gotta laugh at the dude and you gotta laugh at people who get bent out of shape over him.
Let's parse the Dude farther .... he says Gee "will instruct" Lyons to fire Holgorsen if such and such. So what if that actually happens? Does that mean Lyons is obligated to do it? NO! Of course not.Get it?

As far as I am concerned the Dude is just part of the zany landscape that makes up Mountaineer Nation. If you can't laugh at him and his effect on people then you take him way to serious.

Comical... Judging from his past 'knowledge' on the Big 12 conference expansion rumors 2.5 years ago and our going to the SEC 5 years ago. His predictions and 'rumors' are like trying to urinate in a can... during a hurricane, from 5 feet away.

Further ... I do not think that a state University president is a dictator who can solely force department heads to hire and fire.

Casazza probably isn't proud that he did an interview on that podcast, but when you're trying to promote a book about WVU football drama - I guess you do whatever it takes, huh? Probably not the finest moment in Casazza's career, no doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if a hot shower was needed afterwards.
Tressel will have to get approval from NCAA to get the last year of his probation taken away. funny thing is Ollie Luck will handle that case. I don't think Rod even gets a look but Tressel's name is being tossed around. Things are starting to heat up.
He's old as shit and doing something less stressful than coaching.
