Yes, I cannot think of one benefit to bring Huggins back. Not one. It would be a national PR disaster for the school and program. We would look desperate. And if that’s not enough, he wasn’t winning at the level he used to. He’s past his prime. I thank him for what he did here, but let’s be real. Like you said, he’s 72 and a full blown alcoholic with a checkered past. Why should we risk that maybe this time he’s a recovered alcoholic? He supposedly did that after Cincinnati fired him for the same thing. Nevermind he always said he would “fix it” with his team, he always struggled to fix himself. I wish him the best. Truly. WVU needs to move on and so does Huggins.
Pr disaster? Nope. Only to the tiny penis club. Literally no one else cares. Im not even saying we shoud hire him anyways lol. Literally only if hes the best coach who will come here. But I was expecting a better coach to take the job. That triggets some of you tho. Its funny. Just the fact that you guys are so willing to throw one of our own under the bus and turn your back on him makes this program deserve everything we're going through. I want to think the wvu fan base would take up for their own and have each other's backs but some of you guys are not like that obviously. Wvu should get no credit at all for what he accomplished and he should not advocate wvu.
We have truly moved on and it has been a total disaster dude lol. Thats my point basically. I hope this Ross guy can fix things but we've sunk in pretty far if that's all we could get to come here. I hope he's a home run but I've heard some credible donor people who think that good coaches won't come here because of what they did to Huggins, a hall of fame legend who raised money for his facilities on his own personal time. If we can do that to one of our own... You guys can deny it all you want but we are in the situation because of what they did to him. It was a sure sign of really really bad leadership. Smart coaches with options know that.
