People got tired of having their taxes raised and the budgets falling short every year so they started voting for a change. A Republican Secretary of state was elected and he cleared voter roles knocking off 75k voters who were registered but no longer alive or living in WV.
Next election all the sudden there are 50k less Democrat voters and the GOP voting went up a couple percent. Since then the state has been deep red.

You are mistaking votes for popularity. People voted for the best option even when you don't like any of the options. Nobody has the money to compete with Justice. His closest election by far was when he ran as a Democrat against a Republican.

I posted the competition above. He beat it by a large margin in 2020 and 2024 primary and is leading by alot right now in the General. Maybe the conversation is too personal for you to be objective or you wanted the Libertarian to win? Regardless of your feelings he's a popular Governor. He's up there in age so will probably only get one term. But everyone I talk too says he's done a pretty good job.

You just don't understand the dynamics in the State. He is a joke to everyone. He is not wildly popular. The only popular politician in WV is Trump and Justice is smart enough to ride that wave. You are mistaking votes for popularity.
