With the NCAA giving its blessing to players being able to be paid off of their “likeness” , do you think this will be a positive or a negative for Mid Tier teams like us, when it comes to the transfer portal?

As much as I don’t particularly agree with it. I think the idea of players being paid for how popular they are will actually start to level the playing field a little bit for mid tier teams with all star players. A prime example that just happened would be the Dreshun Miller case. Leaves here where he’s being paid nothing to go somewhere so he can get a car and other benefits. He said it was for “The Stage” but we all know what that stage really comes with..........$$$$$$$$$$.
Does this allow us to keep more of our developed talent players here like Tykee Smith or Dreshun Miller, where maybe they’re not getting a brand new Charger, but if they’re here and play well, and are well liked. They can maybe just “deal with😒🙄🙄🙄” having some nice clothes and shoes and some money to send home until they eventually make it to the league?

Does the fact that these players are now essentially making a salary allow the IRS and in response the NCAA(because they’re forced to, not because they want to lol) to possibly start looking into these phantom purchases these players make?

interested to hear some takes on this.
