Is there a way to change to thread view or do they not offer the choice like before? If not, why are they so stringent on feeding us this format? Thanks in advance.

No there is no longer a thread view format. There are technical reasons why we had to move away from that and most users have been very pleased with the new boards after they got used to the change. One time the new format really shows its worth is during games and today we had two really good threads on the free board as well as the Blue Lot.
