PSU paying settlements in Sandusky cases back to 1971

I think the documents cite other eyewitnesses who state things such as an asst coach bursting into the staff room and saying "OMG do you know what I just saw??" That kinda thing.

I believe that report came from Sara Ganim's article, not the court documents.

You know that's actually not a bad idea. PSU's conference mates are bound by rule to play them. Their OOC opponents aren't. If non-Big1G refused to schedule them, there's no way PSU ever qualifies for a playoff spot with just eight games on the schedule.
