We all know that, for the most part, beginning this year it's going to take a computer programmer to keep track of all those that are going to enter the portal. I envision that many will improve their current playing status by going to other teams, some will have to drop down in class and will never be heard of again and some may not even come out of the portal due to the shear volume and no one picks them up. Now my question is, for those left swimming in the portal, can a player return to the team he just left or are there NCAA stipulations that prohibits a return? I realize there is a stigma (a traitor of sorts) that he selfishly left the team behind for his personal gain, that would have to be overcome by both coaches and players if a return was permitted. So what is the rule here and what will happen in the future?
