Bowl eligible. Last week of the regular season, rivalry week, and we are playing TT. UGH. I don't wish anybody fired, and certainly don't hate HCNB, but I hate what has become of the program. It seems we reached the point of what must happen eventually, must happen immediately. I was critical of MBB HCBH his last 3-4 years, however on Senior Day it appeared all the Seniors were very connected to Coach, and there was much emotion. Maybe I was seeing something that was not there, but the few Seniors they showed Sat with HCNB seemed like they were just doing what was expected of them. Not that that really matters. I can't get over the lost opportunity this season in the BXII. No reason not to be in contention for, if not in, the CCG. The BXII, as a whole, is not impressive. As WVex-pat in GA indicated, final week of regular season, then CCG, then Bowl Games, and add a Pick'M for the CPF?? I not sure when we ended the Pick'M for the year to declare a winner and then had a separate Pick'M for the Bowl Games? I guess I am getting old, I just don't recall.

The regular season is over! WVU is 6-6. It is the proverbial kissing your sister kind of ending, and nearly as creepy. After 6 years, HCNB is 37-35, two games over .500; it's just not good enough. I suspect he will be gone either later today or tomorrow. SIGH! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving otherwise. There was certainly plenty of exciting football games over the last three days, just too bad the WVU game wasn't one of them.

I am thankful that we have this Pick'M game, which is in its 10th season this year! And I am thankful that at least this one post remains a place of calm with only the occasional good natured ribbing. Thanks Guys! The week coming up is not going to be any fun at all for some.

Anyway, what more fitting way to end the regular season than to have a DOUBLE TIE! Both @WESTBGVA and I have 21 correct picks out of 29 and we both had WVU, me with 62 points and WestBGVA with 72 points against an actual total of 67; both 5 points off! We have never established any provision for the tie-breaker, whether its over or under or anything like that. The only thing I've ever established is that if two players pick the same number, the later one can make a change and if not the earlier one takes the tie. That doesn't seem fair in this instance, so I'm making an executive decision and declaring two winners for the week. After all, it's only the final total that really makes a difference. So congrats to both of us!

Here's the rest of the numbers:

PLAYER NAME CORRECT WEEK #14 CORRECTYTD YTD/WIN %
FALLRUN 19 206 65.61%
EXPAT 21 206 65.61%
CHRISWV 17 197 62.74%
WVCOOLER 13 202 64.33%
WESTBGVA 21 200 63.69%

Thank you, WVex-pat and all other participants for participating in the weekly pick 'em games. They have been lots of fun, especially when the Mountaineers have struggled.

I look forward to playing again next season! Wishing everyone a happy holiday season!
