The Mountaineer did what they needed to do against Albany. Although I would have rather had the 14 points scored come in the second half against second team players. I listened to most of the sPitt/Cinn game on radio. Not sure what to think, what it indicates when we play these teams. I do know we better be prepared to play four quarters, and shore up the secondary. We are not good enough to have quarters of unfocused ball and mistakes. Back Yard Brawl this week, and feels like a pickem game. I kind of give a slight coaching edge to HCPN, hope I am wrong.

19 games on the slate. First game Fri 9/13 7:00PM. Tie breaker total points scored BackYard Brawl. LGM.

As the Neal Brown era comes to an end, we can fondly look back at the plethora of near wins that managed to escape his sweaty clutches: Houston, OU & OSU and Pitt twice. Not since Bobby Bowden's loss at Pitt in 1970 have I seen a bigger collapse with a lead. Bobby learned from that and latter said that he would never again play to not lose with a lead and keep the pedal to the floor. Neal will never learn that!

But I digress. Congrats to @WV Cooler for 16 correct picks out of 19. The difference was going out on a limb and picking both Indiana AND UCF for the wins. Well Played! Here's the rest of the numbers:

Ugh! I'm the Temple Owls of the standings - dead last (okay, maybe Rutgers some years in the 'ole Big East).
