Models forecasted in the neighborhood of 2.2m dead in the US because of this. We’re currently sitting at 33,288 (number is known to be artificially inflated, but we’ll use it).

The left claims the President has fvcked this thing up from jump. So let’s apply some logic and math.

the current number of dead is approx 1.5% of the model. Estimates and new modeling are now saying the number could rise as high as 60k. If we agree that it’ll go that high, that 2.7% of the original baseline.

Logically, I look at that and say because of Trump and his medical response tiger team, along with the Govs, this team led by Trump and Pence has crushed it. We’re beating the models by 97.3%.

I don’t know what world any of you all work in or operate in, but if you’re beating your metrics by 97.3%, you’re doing a damn good job. And keep in mind, today, we’re actually at 98.5%.

So, you guys being critical, keep in mind, when you apply sanity, logic, and a little math against your arguments, you all look ignorant and driven by emotion and fear.

- 97.5%, successful by any measurable standard
- everyone who needed a bed, had a bed
- everyone who needed a vent, had a vent

All it took was a complete shut down of the economy. 22 million+ lost jobs. Unfathomable GDP numbers. I'm glad you are able to call that a win while swallowing all of that orange god dick. Bravo

Are you suggesting there was another way to slow this virus? I'm sure folks would love to hear it.

  • Reports emerged in 2017 that China had dealt a huge blow to the CIA's infrastructure within its borders. From 2010 through to around 2013, according to The New York Times, more than a dozen carefully curated assets in China were jailed or killed — with one even brazenly shot outside a government building as a perceived warning to others.

"It was devastating. The setback probably delayed the U.S. national security community from fully comprehending Beijing's move toward a more oppressive and assertive policy," Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific security chair for the Hudson Institute, told Fox News. "The gap in a sharper understanding of the Chinese Communist Party's true aims bought it more time to enact greater information suppression at home and more aggressive political warfare abroad."

The moves were deemed one of the worst in the agency's modern history.

"We didn't lose just a single spy. We lost entire networks," said Dean Cheng, senior research fellow and lead China expert at the Heritage Foundation. "That means that many of the various people who worked for us were all rolled up, which, in turn, would have devastated the credibility of our own agency and affected our ability to recruit new people."

Yes. Same as all the experts said. Take it seriously early and have testing capabilities.

Im glad you brought it up. He took his greatest accomplishment and trashed it for the good of the country, to save lives. I’d argue that’s the greatest measure of the leader he is. He cared more about saving lives, recognizing he can rebuild the economy.

What a shitbag!!! Orange Man Bad!!!

I don't think this plays one way or another with the election. Voters minds have been made up for months. Gay commie, socialist blowing, tranny porn watching mod.

Oh he didn't take it seriously is your stance. Yep I remember him telling everyone to go to Chinatown...wait that was Pelosi.

Spare me the testing argument.

His greatest accomplishment was a continuation of the Obama economy? I agree, just odd that you admit it.

Cheeto Jizz da best!!

Hahahahha, magical testing capability was needed and the main source for information to develop it on the virus was lying to us and the world, and also coincidentally, the same country you shill for on a daily basis. That delayed our ability to have adequate testing capability, oh, unless we sourced from China who was returning an 80% false reading. Science from scratch takes a little time and also overlaps during this period of presumed failure.

You’re usually smarter than this and put up a better effort.

That's wrong. I'm sure you know that and just can't bring yourself to admit it. A lot of the rise in our economy was getting rid of Obama's bull$h!t regulations and bringing jobs back from overseas. That wasn't happening under Obama nor was it because of Obama.

Coop can’t and won’t get off of tariffs. He cannot stand that we’re, due to geopolitical strategic reasoning, forcing a decoupling from China. He believes business should drive national defense.

That, or he’s just too ignorant to realize what all China has us marching towards from a military response.

Poor Coop. Always wrong. Has he commented in the FISA thread yet?

Fun with numbers. They just release a machine that can test 1 sample in 15 minutes, capable of doing 4 in an hour. One machine, ran continuously for 24 hours a day, can process 34,716 tests.... in a year. It would take 10,000 of those machines, running 24 hours a day (no breaks) to test the entire population just once... in a year. Need to run multiple tests on the same people? Double your machines or take an extra year.

To test half the population, just one test, in a single month, you would need, 50000 machines running continuously, 24 hours a day.

Everyone cries about testing. They have ZERO idea of what actually goes into it. It's a simple matter of man power and numbers. It's going to take time before we have solid, accurate, testing on a MASS scale.

More fun with math. Extrapolated to the country, 8.25 to 13 million have already had the virus. I'm going to guess that's low.

So what you are saying is that coops proposal is not feasible?

Do you remember when he was telling us that free trade with China was a real thing? That trading with a communist country is the same as buying products from BMW or Nestle from Germany or elsewhere...

We are actually dealing with the Chinese Gov for goods and services...not individual corporations...he has been getting paid piece meal and not on salary...

Even more fun with numbers. The mortality rate for Santa Clara county is between .14% and < .1%.

Something terrible happened in NY, but it's time to get back to work.

He did that? I thought he left it up to the Governors?

He gave them guidelines to meet. If the States meet them it's time to let the healthy and uncompromised people go back to work. The CDC and Task Force is monitoring the data so they all can keep each other honest.

We aren't done with this thing. If we are plateauing on new cases, that just means we are starting the turn down if we are lucky. That also means we are still getting new cases. The number of new cases has to drop significantly before we can lift the stay at home orders without generating a new peak. That's just simple logic. We'll be dealing with this mess for a while, not all of it under stay at home orders. This is akin to claiming victory in the first quarter just because you scored first.

And what's even better if the tests are valid, this virus may have been around for much longer than anyone is aware of, i.e; that's a good thing.

HIV first emerged in what's now the Congo in the 1940's, among loggers and bush meat hunters. It moved into the cities of the old overriding colonial power, Belgium, who were trying to figure out what it was as it followed the old truck and ferry boat routes towards the lake districts of Central Africa. That region has a lot of things that go Boom!!! The Cubans and their "Barefoot Doctors" went to what was now Zaire to see what was up, and like most young men, decided to check out the local talent.

Barefoot Docs got most their training in the D.R. and Haiti over here for tropical meds. They brought HIV backwith them. When the tall ship's arrived for the USA's in New York City for our 200th anniversary it did a number on gay men and junkies of both sexes. I was in my sexual prime in 76/77, did I ask the girl if she had any sort of weird VD? Nope. Did I get a mighty case of the bullhead clap? You bet your ass I did. A stinky strain from the Phillipines . When the doc hauled out his mallet and his 'sound' I thought I was a dead man. I survived, but on a strict diet of cranberry juice and antibiotics.

Beware the Bullhead Clap!

You are only as good as your testing correct? Would it not be true that as we test more, we will report more tests...but that does not mean anything, as we don't know how many people would/could test positive. We could actually be in a major decline but because more people are getting tested it might not show that.

just like I was told yesterday, they are counting positive tests, one example is the same person tested positive 4 weeks in a row...1 person, 4 tests...

Is there a percentage or factor being touted out there of the possible number of people that have had this virus but weren't tested because they had no symptoms or mild symptoms?

Not that I have seen. It is all over the place. There is a need for modeling but the geeks got this one wrong...and we will change the way we use them moving forward.

Did these guys model the 2016 election? [roll]

Did these guys model the 2016 election? [roll]

That is actually a great example...Trump was using state data and plugging them into how they would impact the Electoral College...the libs were using national data and then predicting state elections. The libs are now using inflated death numbers from liberal cities...and trying to apply them to middle America.

Trump was factoring in the silent majority, the libs kept polling in the cities. We aren't counting the people who have/had it but were never tested.etc
