Since Trump would face state charges in Georgia, the sitting president won't have the ability to pardon him.

In Georgia, the power to pardon is vested under the state constitution to a Board of Pardons and Paroles, which requires that a sentence be completed at least five years prior to applying for a pardon.

You have to be convicted of a crime first. What crime did Trump commit? (I'll ask you that after he's indicted and watch you remain tongue tied)

@Soaring Eagle 74 ...see if you can cite from this history of Georgia's RICO statutes what crime Trump's guilty of ?

What is a RICO charge (under Georgia Law)?

excerpt:
District Attorney Fani Willis is widely expected to bring those charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act — a law originally intended to charge mafias and gangs. In more recent years, the law has been applied more broadly in the state of Georgia. On Monday, the county's courts website momentarily postedand then removed — a document that appeared to show Trump would face charges including racketeering. Nicholas Cotten, a spokesperson for the Fulton County courts system, called it "a fictitious document"

...more

Melissa Redmon, a director for the University of Georgia School of Law's Prosecutorial Justice Program, told Insider that seeking the state's RICO Act would allow prosecutors to pursue a "broad" case involving multiple people and events that could have occurred at different periods of time and even locations.

"The idea behind the RICO is that you can charge the mastermind with everything that those involved in the enterprise did," Redmon said. And the RICO Act could give prosecutors the opportunity to give a "fuller picture of everything that was done to influence or to disrupt the election in Georgia."

*editor's note
(the whole case is based on Trump's phone call to Georgia's Secretary of State, where he allegedly tried to get him ie:Raffensburger to overturn the election results.) That is not only inaccurate, but impossible to prove under the RICO statutes the DA is employing to prosecute this case!

Your lust for Trump isn't helping our country. Look around at the chaos your messiahs are causing. I implore you to take your face out of Trump's crotch long enough to see the destruction your messiahs are causing.

Then ask yourself: "Did Trump's policies do anything to hurt our country? What policies of Democrats' are helping our country?"

Wake up bleater. Your obession for Trump isn't helping anything. Say you get your orgasmic wish and the corrupt justice system puts Trump away for the rest of his life? Other than emotional gratification or you thinking your team scored a touchdown, what's that do for you? What's it do for our country, other than hurt it? I mean, what good comes from a corrupt justice system taking out political opponents? There's no looking past, creating felonies out of misdemeanors. There's no lookng past the timing of all of this. You know it and the world knows it. Corrupt as hell. You and the rest of Bleater Nation don't care, because you think it helps your team. You can't get it through your thick skull, that this is ultimately hurting you too. Even worse, it hurts our country.

But you go ahead, gloat and masterbate over a man getting put away by a corrupt system while your hero, Pedo-Joe, who did much worse and that same system is protecting him. Who knows why you think this is a good thing?

Just stand by. It's all going to get much uglier. When it does, just remember...You cheered for it. You literally cheered for it.

Dumbass.

Actually Kemp and Carr need to open an investigation on the BLM/Antifa Activist pretending to be the Fulton County Prosecuter that's funded by the CCP, Gangs, and Cartels. She is going after Trump because he was bad for business. Or don't and wonder why Republicans keep losing elections.

Get GBI busy busting up election interference.

The crime of fighting like hell to get the victory he won against Democrats. He will be put in jail because of his mouth. He will stay there because of his mouth. SCOTUS wouldn't touch anything election-related. Why do you think they'll touch anything with polarizing Trump?

This isn’t about 2020. It’s about 2024. Dissent about the outcome of a presidential election is now criminalized. Lawsuits, investigations, protest, social media posts—all activity we’ve seen for decades. All now illegal in the U.S.A. .

The New Democrat Party hates the 1st Amendment. Too bad the Republicans keep allowing it to happen without playing the same game. DeSantis and other Republicans are next. They will have no choice but to " run their mouth" then. It will be too late though. Should have took up this fight.

And back someone who did absolutely nothing to fight it in his first term? He runs his mouth well. He doesn't drain the swamp. DeSantis has in FL.

Republicans should have worked harder to help. Florida isn't the entire country and his poll numbers suck. You are starting to sound like you are excited about the idea of Harris and Newsome?

To protect the Constitution. This isn't about Trump anymore...it's about whether we are nation of Laws or political retributions?
