I watch college over the pros.

I can't believe LSU @ Florida was cancelled as opposed to moving 1 day later like UGA @ SC. That's the dumbest double standard-and they're all in the SEC.

Right here. I haven't watched the NFL in 22 years and haven't missed it for even one second. What a bore.

Just checked NOAA and they show Gainesville with 1.5 inches of rain in last 7 days and Raleigh, NC with 4.5 inches in last 24 hours. Most of Raleigh rain was during the NC State- ND game.

That's exactly what I think is really messed up. Add in that last year, SC had a home game vs LSU, but Colombia got flooded. They didn't cancel the game. They just just said play it in Death Valley (LSU not Clemson). What did LSU do? They donated all the $$$$& to the SC relief effort.

How is it that Gainesville FL can't have a football game but they had FSU @ Miami Last night and the Dolphins can play there today. It's almost like a whimp move by the 2 schools. Florida could actually win the SEC east by running the table despite a head to head loss and 1 less conference game than Tennessee.

Right on! I haven't watched millionaires playing and griping about a game in many years. Give me college sports any day!

ADs at UF and LSU are not chummy. They were not likely to come to a friendly agreement.

The NFL dropped off my screen many years ago. I don't care what teams are playing and what players are on the field. I still watch college football but have lost a lot of interest even in this area. Mainly, I watch Mountaineer sports. Coaches are prima donnas for the most part and don't deserve what they are being paid. Their actions on the sidelines tell the story. Just watch them.

First thing I noticed is somebody forgot to tell the fans the stadium is not supposed to be that full when a game is moved back 24 hrs. Got to hand it to SEC fans, they're the best even their teams aren't.

Don't get me wrong I picked UGA to win, and I want it to happen to put me 10-4 in Pick'em, but SC needs some offense or this is gonna look like SEC vs Kentucky or SEC vs Vandy.

...so, I live in Acworth GA, don't have cable, so am stuck with NFL & NASCAR....thank god I got yard work...& beer....UGa not on over-the-air TV, or I would, indeed, be watching that...

Will Muschamp has bandage over a fast busted lip.

Said it just started bleeding.

First off .... LSU/Florida was not canceled.
It was postponed until a later date. The game will be played.

The SEC commissioner was interviewed and asked the questions about why THAT game was postponed when others were played.

A lot of it had to do with the immediate area being flooded with evacuees that had filled hotel rooms and other facilities. They were not going to ask these people who had been begged to evacuate to give up their rooms just so football fans could use them. And there was also the reality that a lot of law enforcement and emergency personnel that would normally be available for a game were preemptively busy handling the evacuee traffic.

Imagine that .... the two schools and the SEC put the needs of the people who had evacuated from the coast and the community who was housing them ahead of playing a football game.

Paul Finebaum, the voice of the SEC is the biggest critic of this and the fact there was NO PLANNING WHATSOEVER ie FOR TODAY or an alternate site between the 2 schools. That's my point and everyone else's.
