... In my opinion the botched handoff in the 4x100 m men's relay for the second straight Olympics, exemplifies a problem in the way we manage our Olympic teams. There were comments about how precise the Chinese are on their hand offs. I get it that the state supports the Chinese athletes fully. But is there anything we can do, other than to not throw a couple of guys into a relay at the last minute and f*** it up when we're clearly the fastest?
