OT: Need some help with buying a new LED TV.

I have a Sharp Aquos Quattron LED TV i bought back in 2011. I think it's getting close to needing replaced. This tv is 120 HZ. I know 120HZ is better than 60HZ. Most of the LED's i am seeing now are 60HZ with 120 motion rate. I know that's not the same as 120 HZ but is 120 motion rate good enough to watch sports? thanks.
