We absolutely could do worse than socialism, but since this board is all from the 40s and thinks "socialism = communism" I tend to not bother even having an opinion here. Raese wants no regulations and would sooner die than actually pay his share to better anything. Look at how his trucks destroy Morgantown's roads and the city and state are left footing the bill for it. That's ignoring the University axing his sweetheart deal and him whining like a spoiled brat over it. He would want to be a dictator and answer to no one. That sounds pretty far right to me, and if I had the choice between that and a smaller wealth gap and improved state infrastructure/education/workers benefits, under the dreaded "S" word, you'd bet your ass I'd take the latter.

Scott walker took on the unions up there and won. Can you list any other state in the north that is doing well with a democratic governor and is not in fiscal trouble? Kasich is repub so don't go there.
