Along with my great friend, Dave “Spanky” Phillips, we began a Bucket List adventure on April 28. We are Golfing Across America. Started in Columbus, Oh, then on to Indianapolis where we played two outstanding courses, The Fort and Brickyard Crossing, which has four holes INSIDE the oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
We then traveled to the Ozarks ( Ozark National) , Oklahoma City (OU Jimmie Austin, Winter Creek) Amarillo, Albuquerque (Sandia), Tucson (3 courses) Scottsdale (3courses) and today we head to La Quinta, PGA West (3 courses) before Sonoma, CA, (Bodega Bay) and finally three days at Pebble Beach.
All this and thanks to ESPN +, being able to watch Mountaineer baseball during our special season.
This has been a great adventure, including sitting down at a bar in Tucson beside a guy from Beckley.
I hope all of my Blue Lot Brothers have an opportunity like this in your lifetime.
