Watched yesterday and saw the kid Clanton earn his PGA card via PGA University-couple of questions I’m too lazy to research:
1) how does this work and is there any possibility any of our guys could achieve this?
2) they said it wouldn’t kick in until after the NCAA Championships, so I assume he’s a Senior. So he will (or is he required) turn pro?
3) he is listed for the tournament as (A), but I assume he’s getting NIL and can he accept sponsorship deals and still maintain both PGA (A) status AND NCAA status?
Interesting path, I know it’s new and I think he’s the second guy to obtain this. Beats hacking around on a sub-tour though.
