I've thought and said the same thing for well over a decade now. Too many glaring moments, beyond questionable calls or no calls, blatantly trying to play into cultural narratives, and then gambling becoming free and clear.

There's just too much money involved and to be made.

How so?

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana are lucrative for the NFL. They need another one even if they have to manufacture one. Preferably a non white guy since it's the NFL and there just so happens to be one in KC. And I'm not saying Mahomes isn't good as the guy clearly is. What makes him different from Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, or Jalen Hurts, is Mahomes can actually play QB. No amount of manipulation us going to convince anyone that the former 3 are capable of doing what Tom Brady did.
