Just had mine done last August. They shaved both sides of my meniscus, and scraped away some grade 4 arthritis on the upper and lower side of the knee. Still have a torn ACL, and they said in the next so many years that I would need a full knee replacement.
I was told that I could do whatever I wanted to with my knee, regardless of the amount of pain endured, which is fine with me, I’m ready to forget about it and get back in better shape, even tho with no ACL, there’s the occasional landing on your face.
My question to any of you in the field, any of you former patients, and of course, @Airport , is, …
If arthritis is scraped away, does that ever “come back”?
If you can do whatever you want with the knee regardless of the pain endured, how do you know when it’s time to get the full knee replacement?
