West Virginia is in position right now to sign most, if not all of their commitments which is absolutely incredible when you think about the current situation. Obviously telling me something and doing it are two different things but I don't have much reason to doubt that it will be the case. That's a testament to the work being put in by this coaching staff right now who have been working very hard to keep this class together. I don't think the entire list is going to sign, as players like Serious Stinyard are very much up in the air after he opened his recruitment, but the majority of them have indicated to me or I've been told that they will.
And right now there is a chance that there could even be more guys in the mix added to the list when it's all said and done if things break right. Either way, it's gone from a completely uncertain day to one where West Virginia could very well end up putting together a very strong group and when you consider that the head coach was fired Sunday that's almost unheard of in today's age of recruitment.
I will say this, timing certainly helps with no visits going on right now, but almost all of these guys had options and some heavy hitters at that. I don't know what will happen to the staff after this, but needless to say if this all goes through it's one of the most impressive efforts I've seen since I've been doing this given the uncertainty.
